| Fan Cards were sent out by the studios when fans wrote in for a stars autograph or picture. These autographs were not genuine, usually rubber stamped or etched on the negative of the photo and most likely not even a copy of the star's actual signature. These matte, double weight photos came as 5 x 7's or 8 x 10's and at one point, fans could purchase 8 x 10's for only a quarter! |
